ALL ABOARD!

Tommy’s train, despite its scaled-down stature, was not a toy. It is a genuine steam-powered locomotive weighing in at 4 1/2 tons and operating at 150 pounds of steam pressure. Each of his three excursion coaches were hand built, exemplifying the highest standards of craftsmanship, influenced by the opulent style of European railways. It is our goal to preserve and restore his masterpiece for the enjoyment of generations to come.

DOWN THE TRACKS

Currently undergoing restoration, the locomotive is on it’s way to being rededicated as the “T. G. Thompson Jr.” in 2023, marking what would have been Tommy's 100th birthday. Housed on private property, future plans include transporting the equipment to rail festivals and suitable events.

Through ongoing archival efforts, a more comprehensive insight into Tommy’s process and original dream are being compiled for an eventual documentary. Additionally, artwork, schematic, and other archival prints will be available for purchase through our online store.
